Inter Litchfield had quite an impressive showing at the Green Mountain Challenge in beautiful Manchester, Vermont this past weekend! Our U19 girls team took first place with 3 wins and 1 tie, all 4 games shutouts, thanks to a strong defensive line and critical saves by their goalkeeper. Our U14 girls went undefeated, shut out all 4 teams, and took first place after an intense championship game that ended in a 1-0 win against VT Fusion. Our U13 girls played up to the U14 bracket, and gave those older girls a serious run for their money, shutting out two of the teams 6-0 and 5-0, and took second place in the bracket. Our U11 boys also took first place, playing up to the U12 premier bracket. They fought hard in their final game, ending with a 1-0 against the U12 Dutchman, who were previously undefeated. The newly formed Inter U10 girls finished tied for second place, playing up in the U12 bracket. Despite being physically outmatched at times, their skill and determination shined and showed they are a force to be reckoned with. We are so incredibly proud of each and every player, and special thanks to the coaches and parents who spent their Father’s Day weekend on the soccer field! ⚽️
